Members of the Council For Exceptional Children (CEC) who are special education teachers, administrators, therapists, teacher educators, researchers, students and counselors, social workers and parents. The Council For Exceptional Children is a nonprofit organization founded in 1922 and dedicated to providing a quality education to all exceptional individuals. The council works to achieve access to special education for all; high certification and licensure standards; transfer of technology, methodology and curriculum; enhanced resource access for practitioners; effective systems of delivery; and best professional practice.
