Institutional members and prospective member institutions of the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, formerly the National Community Mental Health Care Counsil Institute, who are mental health centers, organizations, agencies, and individuals interested in improving the quality and accessibility of mental health sevices. NCMHC develops state and national legislative issues and works for full mental health care coverage by insurance companies and federal insurance programs. The NCMHC also publishes the NATIONAL REGISTRY OF COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES bi-annually, from which prospective member institutions are derived. Members receive NATIONAL COUNCIL magazine, JOURNAL OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES & RESEARCH, and TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE UPDATE e-newsletter as part of their membership.
