Members of the American Association of Neuromusular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) are physicians who diagnose and treat patients with disorders of muscle and nerve, extend the knowledge of electrodiagnostic medicine and improve the quality of patient care. Founded in 1953, the association was formerly known as the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Members receive various publications and attend conferences to increase their knowledge of the anatomy, neurophysiology, pathophysiology, instrumentation, and procedures needed to understand and treat neuromuscular disorders.
