Professional, associate and supporting members of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association. Therapeutic recreation involves the use of sports, handicrafts and other recreational activities to improve the physical, mental and emotional funtions of persons with illnesses or disabling conditions. Professional members have been certified by the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation and are called CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists); associate members are certified as assistants are are CTRA's (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Assistants); supporting members are those that work in the field but have no certification. Also included in the file are student members (selectable). List updated weekly.
