Members of the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management are active in the field of purchasing, inventory and distribution, and materials management as performed in hospitals, related patient care institutions, or government and voluntary health organizations, and who are employed by an organization eligible for institutional membership in the American Hospital Association. Purposes of the association include helping members with their responsibilities; providing access to the latest ideas, methods, developments, information, and techniques in the field of hospital purchasing and materials management; establishing associations with others in the profession; providing recognition in the profession through participation in policy-making; and providing a link with the AHA.
