Members of the National Association of Builders and Contractors (ABC), established in 1951, who are merit shop contractors. ABC's mission is the advancement of the merit shop construction philosophy which encourages competition and a free-enterprise approach that awards construction contracts based solely on merit, regardless of labor affiliation. Individual ABC members are primarily affiliated with one of 79 local chapters across the country.
